Starter Job Description:

Starters are responsible for the orderly and timely movement of tee times, controlling the pace of play, and ensuring the golf course policies are followed

Responsibilities

• Interacts with golfers in a friendly, helpful manner.

• Responsible for informing players of course conditions and local rules.

• Keep tee times moving on time and in an orderly manner.

• Communicate with Golf Shop and keep up-to-date and accurate tee sheet.

• Tracks players and speed of play.

• Communicate with Rangers on the course for any potential pace of play problems.

• Keep track of golf carts.

• Maintains a record of daily play.

• Any additional tasks assigned by a manager and/or supervisor.

Ranger Job Description:

Rangers are responsible for monitoring the pace of play, reminding groups that fall out of position of ways to speed up pace, ensuring the golf course policies are followed.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with golfers in a friendly, helpful manner.

• Responsible for maintaining a reasonable pace of play on the golf course.

• Communicate and assist Golf Shop in keeping an accurate pace of play.

• Communicate with Starter and Golf Shop about any pace of play problems.

• Assist Outside Staff Attendants as needed.

• Any additional tasks assigned by a manager and/or supervisor.

Job Requirements for both Positions

Prefer recently retired individuals.

• Able to work 1-2 shifts per week, may require working additional hours and holidays

• General knowledge of Golf Course operations.

• Must be available for weekend, holidays, and shift work.

• Ability to lift over 25 lbs.

• Excellent Customer Service

• Must be at least 18 with a valid driver’s license.
